Although you can’t see in these pictures it was a very wet, grey and drizzly day when we shot this outfit, what a contrast with my trip to Rome last weekend! We were on the hunt for blossom trees (yet again) and I knew this tree was so gorgeous but when we came there the blossom was almost gone. The period when the blossom trees are in full bloom is just for such a short period of time and I regret that. For me it can stay on all year, so beautiful!
Enough about the weather, let’s talk fashion shall we? Studio 8 asked me if I wanted to review some stuff from their shop and I was immediately enthusiastic because I think this label is sophisticated and very feminine so yes, of course I would! Studio 8 is a London based label and offer women up to size 26 a premium collection of versatile daywear, sophisticated workwear and standout occasionwear that makes them look – and feel – amazing. All with much craftsmanship and choice of quality fabrics. I know in The Netherlands you can also buy a little bit of collection at De Bijenkorf and I did so last year. I bought a scuba skirt and still in love with that one (see here).
Are you a mood-dresser or can you wear anything regardless your mood of the day?
I choose this royal blue dress with trumpet sleeves and pink/cherry red flowers. The dress is made of a semi-shiny fabric, has a zipper in the back and is completely lined. I’m wearing a size UK22 and it’s a loose fit on me (I’m a size EU50). I didn’t need the zipper to put it on. Because I wasn’t in a romantic mood that day I decided to style it with some skinny jeans and my pink glittery boots. You know about the dresses with pants trend? No, well I tried it here and I must say I kinda like it. The jeans from Yoek are the most comfortable skinny jeans I ever had, almost feels like… well almost feels like you have no pants on. So comfy! You saw that jeans here before. Of course you can imagine this dress with bare legs and a nice open toe sandal and I’m sure I’m going to wear it like that when the weather is great and my mood as well 😉
What about you? Are you a mood-dresser? Or can you lay out your clothes for the next day and wear them regardless the mood you are in? Tell me…
