As long as I can remember I wanted to have a horse and go horseback riding. I nagged my parents about it for years and years if I could have a horse of my own. I was convinced it could easily live in our tiny backyard. I the meantime I made a horse out of everything, the couch, my mattress, my bike. I used to attach a string on the steering wheel of my bike and went riding it with no hands… after that my parents decided I could go riding, to avoid accidents I guess 🙂 So I went to the manege and I was at the stables almost every day. I soon joined the dressage competition team and that was all my life. I was a true Anky van Grunsven, never made it to the olympics though but I won a few prices in my days and even became a Dutch Champion. When I was sixteen I quitted my horseback riding career but I gained my most dearest friends. Every year we go and visit one of the friends who lives in Spain for a few days and those are the best days. I still like to go riding but I don’t do it as often as I want to.
I’m still dreaming of getting my own horse…
So when I saw this dress I asked Yoek if I could do a review and they said yes! It is actually the same dress as the one you saw me wearing last season, see here, but then the fabric isn’t transparent. This time I sized it down one size to get a more fitted shape. I styled it in this seasons western style with western boots and belt. Like a true horse girl! Miss Yoek also made another dress with this print with wide sleeves and a kimono top.
As a bonus I put in an old picture of me during a dressage competition. This is on my beloved Kimbel with whom I won quite some first prices. I think I was 15 there.
Hope you liked my little blast from the past and see you soon!
